
Slinger/Signaller N402
Course Overview
​
The NPORS Slinger/Signaller (N402) course is designed to train individuals in the essential skills required to safely sling loads and effectively communicate with crane operators and plant drivers during lifting operations. This course covers the correct use of slinging equipment, safe signalling practices, and the legal responsibilities of the slinger/signaller under current legislation including LOLER, PUWER, and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
Upon successful completion, delegates will be awarded the NPORS Slinger/Signaller Card and Certificate (N402).
Course Objectives

Understand and demonstrate standard hand signals and communication techniques

Understand exclusion zones and safe working practices during lifting

Recognise the importance of teamwork and communication in lifting operations
